im reading a current event on the detroit orchestra symphonies where the musicians went on strike because of a cut in salaries. they now feel like they should be paid the millions they lost, for the the being on strike.
i just read an article in the Macon Telegraph on a mother who killed both her kids. one she shot in the head twice for talking back, her 13 year old son. and the other was her 16 year old daughter, who she shot in the face while she studied at her computer. It says the mother had been receiving treatment for an unknown medical condition, but nothing can account for her to do such as this. Nothing at all.

today i began to read a book by Patricia C. McKissack. The title of the book is Dear America, Color Me Dark. In the beginning of the book there are two sisters who are different in color. One is very light-skinned, and the other very dark. People thought being light-skinned was better than being dark. This was not very pleasing to the light-skinned sister.
today i read 10 more pages in the book color me dark. in these pages it talks about how times were back in 1919, with the blacks and whites.
this morning i read an article in the Dodge Co. News where the Eastman Youth Prison had to call in multiple law enforcement officers due to several inmates setting fires to bed linen and trash.more than 60 inmates would not return to thier cells. one officer within the facility was assaulted by several inmates.Law enforcement was called to this same facility back in May 2010.

harold recieved numerous requests to share his testimony in churches, and schools around the country. the men who were discipling him urged him to go to Bible college to become better grounded in the word of god.the thought of going to college held about as much appeal as going back to prison. he rebelled against the idea.
he finally decided to send an application to school in South Carolina. he was rejected the first time, not because he had been to prison, but because he had been a divorcee.
harold sent a reply stating "no problem, i will get married". comedians werent welcome either, he discovered. the rejection didnt come as a disappointment to him because he had applied under pressure from his friends. although he needed bible teachings, he was not ready for the decipline it brought him.
harold was finally accepted into college, where he began to study for a Bachlor of Arts in Christian Ministries.
the graduating ceremony cane. when he walked across the stage he received a standing ovation. the honor really belonged to the strength of his life, Christ Jesus. It felt good to accomplish something for the savior.

on monday morning, harold went on trial for his life. the prosecutor had done his homework, and he ate his attorney alive. harold's lawyer had never tried a criminal case, and he made some errors. he intended to tell the truth and wanted to be sworn in, but the attorney objected to him taking the witness stand. the attorney said that in the state of georgia, i could be sworn in and say anything i wanted to say without being cross-examined. that was the greatest news he heard in a long time.
this morning i began reading in my computer book, on the different components of the computer. the advantages and disadvantages and computer software.
harold served 10 years in prison, where he continued to get in trouble and hold various jobs with the prison system. in prison is where he gave his heart to god, and began to change his ways. he also began to help other inmates in finding christ.
Opportunities for discipleship and minisry soon followed, as did his eventual release and full pardon in 1981.
he was unprepared to reenter the society he had left a decade ago. times had changed, but he had not changed with them. freedom gave him an appreciation for the things that many people take for granted.
for the first five years in prison, he could not make or receive one phone call, and for the last four and a half years, the calls were limited. In the free world he could pick up the phone every day and tell someone "i love you".
harold recieved numerous requests to share his testimony in churches, and schools around the country. the men who were discipling him urged him to go to Bible college to become better grounded in the word of god.the thought of going to college held about as much appeal as going back to prison. he rebelled against the idea.
he finally decided to send an application to school in South Carolina. he was rejected the first time, not because he had been to prison, but because he had been a divorcee.
harold sent a reply stating "no problem, i will get married". comedians werent welcome either, he discovered. the rejection didnt come as a disappointment to him because he had applied under pressure from his friends. although he needed bible teachings, he was not ready for the decipline it brought him.
harold was finally accepted into college, where he began to study for a Bachlor of Arts in Christian Ministries.
the graduating ceremony cane. when he walked across the stage he received a standing ovation. the honor really belonged to the strength of his life, Christ Jesus. It felt good to accomplish something for the savior.
